Overview
When I started at The Griff magazine, my first priority was to take their existing social templates and redesign them with audience engagement in mind.

Problem
I decided my goal for the year was to optimize the organization's social media by re-vamping their original social media templates. The original templates used a single static post, had inconsistent type alignment, and didn't effectively use positive & negative space.
Solution
To solve this design challenge, I created a flexible carousel post template which could be customized depending on the story's tone and accompanying photos/graphics. Instead of relying on rectangles to contain text, I overlayed a black gradient on top of imagery, and carried photo and graphic elements onto the next frame to keep users scrolling through the carousel.
How effective was the design?
Between September 2025 and March 2026, the Griff has doubled its following on Instagram. Additionally, between March of this year, and March of 2025, the average Instagram views per Griff article post have increased by 87.7%.
I am proud of what I've been able to achieve with the Griff Magazine, as its given me an opportunity to blend my strengths in both graphic design and communications to make real impact in an organization.
